The Ridge motorsports Park : Track Nights in America
Ever since I was a kid, all that I ever wanted to do was drive cars on a track. You can say that I had ambitions to be a race car driver. To be honest I just knew that the track would be the only place that I would get a chance to mash the pedal and throw gears without the worry of the boys in blue showing up so it was only natural that I found myself on the track one day and that's what brought me to The Ridge this particular weekend. I first heard about The Ridge a few years back while searching for road courses in my area. Right away I liked the sort of photos I was seeing from spectators when I did an online search. I had to see this place in person. Before you are allowed to drive on track though you have to obtain a SCCA club membership for a small fee. The layout of the track is most comparable to the likes of Laguna Seca with it's windy turns, steep hills and a couple hairpins. While most other clubs might be brand dominant, this particular event had a wide variety suited to any aficionado to pick and choose from as you will see in the photos. My first experience at The Ridge was an awesome one and it's mandatory that I make it back out there, but next time I hope to get the Dc5 on tarmac. Track Nights in America, we will meet again!
